– Preeclampsia with high blood pressure and loss of protein in the urine, known as pregnancy intoxication in the mother.
– Physical or psychological trauma to the mother.
– Drug poisoning.
– Congenital anomalies of the baby.
– The cause is unknown.
Factors Related to the Pregnant Woman’s Lifestyle
– Cigarette
– Malnutrition
– Less weight gain than normal.
– Use of substances such as alcohol or cocaine.
These are causes of both underweight babies and preterm births. Maternal age, poverty, short stature, occupational factors and psychological stress.
